Kerry won (will eventually win) Ohio ?

Most voters in Ohio thought they were voting for Kerry. CNN's exit poll showed Kerry beating Bush among Ohio women by 53 percent to 47 percent. Kerry also defeated Bush among Ohio's male voters 51 percent to 49 percent. Unless a third gender voted in Ohio, Kerry took the state.

So what's going on here? Answer: the exit polls are accurate. Pollsters ask, "Who did you vote for?" Unfortunately, they don't ask the crucial, question, "Was your vote counted?" The voters don't know.

Democrats, being the working class, tend to show up and vote after work.

If the numbers were good in the middle of the day, they would tend to get better.

I saw that reported on election day so if it came from the media it could be false but that is what "they" said.

Of all the voters I talked to and reminded them to come out and vote, only two said they'd be there bright and early at 6:30. Everyone else couldn't make it until after work. And the lines by then were huge.

the exit polls. The provisional ballots were never counted. People voting on provisional ballots thought they voted but in fact, they had not.

The person speaking said the republicans were responsible for making certain that a lot of the ballots were provisional.

for each candidate is within a certain percentage of the total ballots cast? Concession or not, a recount could be triggered. I consider it more likely for Florida than for Ohio, however.

Bush got at least 10,000 votes incorrectly according to this in FRANKLIN COUNTY ALONE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

If there are errors like this in other Counties, then there is NO DOUBT KERRY WON OHIO.

As I mentioned above, we are starting to see similar problems in FL!

PDF file is entitled "Unofficial Abstract of Votes General." Why "Unofficial"? Is it an early tally that was changed again later?

Regarding population/registration numbers by precinct - voter lists were posted at each precinct at 10 and 4, with a checkmark next to the names of people who had actually been there by then. Those of us working with MoveOn could use them to check off people on our own list, to see who had come in, vs. who needed to be bugged to turn out. But I wasn't allowed to keep a copy of the list, needless to say. It exists, though. I assume these were the names of all the registered voters, not all the residents. Of course, off all the registered voters, not all of them voted, but it's a start. Can we get hold of a copy of the master list from the Franklin County board of elections? And likewise in other counties, for comparative purposes?
