| Bush the elder appeals: Reelect son |
 |
As if you needed another reason to get these people(?) the hell out of DC. If they aren't the worst group of fuckheads ever spawned, I don't want to see who or what that may be. The former president appeared at a Delco GOP rally. He used humor and avoided specific issues. He even poked fun at protesters outside the auditorium yesterday chanting "Bush must go." The GOP crowd laughed as he described the demonstrators he encountered years ago while on a visit to San Francisco as "the worst-looking group of people I've ever seen." "There was one woman," he said to more laughter. "A really ugly woman. She had a sign up that said, 'Stay out of my womb,' " as Bush put up his hands as if to deny he would ever go near her. http://www.philly.com/mld/inquirer/news/local/9922021.h...

The Bushes are carriers of the deny-destroy-and-be-damned virus. Prescott Bush never apologized for trading with the Nazis. George Bush Senior professed to know nothing of the drug and arms dealing that funded the bloody, illegal Iran-Contra operations, although it was common knowledge that he directed them. He and his sons enriched themselves through shady real estate deals and financial manipulations that brought down entire banking and savings and loan institutions. They are all consummate inside traders, looting and leaving ruin in their wake.

Maybe 2 weeks ago, Poppy was interviewed by one of the major broadcasters, saying-implying that misleading, mud-slinging campaigning was fair, "whatever it took to win". I don't have the exact quote, but that's close enough.
Lies are like a snowball rolling downhill: they get bigger. It's no wonder the Bushes are a reclusive bunch, into drugs, and surrounded by Yes men.

GOP Theft of Our Election Is Under Way.
By Anthony Wade John Kerry is poised to finally wrest back this country which has been hijacked for the past four years from extreme ideologues who have driven us to the brink on nearly every front imaginable. After decisive victories in every debate and surging poll numbers from those debates, it is becoming apparent that the only way George W. Bush may be able to win, is to steal the election. This would seem so cynical if not for the fact that the GOP machine has already done it once. With 19 days to go, we are already seeing the “voting irregularities” popping up all across this country. Every time we hear the GOP react with astonishment and assuring statements issued about how they do not tolerate such behavior. Please. They are coordinating it, pure and simple. This country’s democracy was hijacked and stolen in 2000 and we cannot allow it to happen again. John Kerry has made his case to the country, now it is our job to make sure that EVERY vote is counted, and counted fairly. The following stories will set the stage so that America understands that we are not only talking about something that might happen in 19 days, we are talking about what has already happened, and is happening right now. Nevada – Just this week, employees of a private voter registration company have revealed that hundreds, if not thousands of democratic registrations were thrown in the trash. Did you get that America ? A company that registered voters in a crucial swing state, kept the republican registrations but threw away the democratic registrations. Now, when these people show up to vote, they will not be eligible because they will not be on the rolls. The company responsible, Voters Outreach of America (VOA), is largely if not exclusively funded by the Republican National Committee. So in essence, the RNC has collaborated to defraud the upcoming election. Employees of the company say they were given special training in how to identify potential GOP voters, and how to avoid signing up any Democrats. Workers were told that if they signed up as many Democrats as Republicans, they would not be paid for the hours they spent in front of shopping malls, grocery stores or government offices. Jeb needs to say he is sorry to the city of San Francisco!
If they are going to demand that John Kerry "say sorry" for telling the truth about Sweet Mary Cheney, they better say sorry!

GWHB has said on a number of occasions that he was out of the game, that he would not weigh in, that he would let weewee run things and be his own man. He was very low profile during the last Selection, if you recall.
The fact that they have dragged that raddled old man out to rally up the mindless should be encouraging to us in the extreme. It signals, rather clearly and rather bluntly, that weecowboy's team is running very scared.
Note he did not even fill the damn room: "...raucous crowd that filled only half of the Community Center Auditorium" and he had nothing of substance to say "...Bush, who did not take questions from reporters, did not address issues gripping Americans, such as the war in Iraq or the struggling economy." All the yelling and cheering in the world from party hacks can't make up for the fact that you can't even bring crowds out, and failure to address key issues, while still getting THIS quote from a moron "I think that what he has to say about the President reaffirms the President's character," tells me this was simply a limpdick effort to rally the hardcore supporters and staunch the bleeding.
I'm guessing weecowboy is not going to spend money in PA. He's just trying to consolidate the base (and not even able to put asses in the seats). Ask yourself, would that hall have been filled if CLINTON were speaking? Answer--STANDING ROOM ONLY, SCALPED TICKETS.
You sometimes have to read the papers like a Russkie reading Pravda during the Cold War, but the bitter truth is there between the lines. Take heart....this is GOOD news!

C'mon, you remember that line! it was Poppy Bush's cute name for Clinton and Gore that he trotted out on the campaign trail for a few days, in the final, dying weeks of his campaign.
This is what we're seeing from the Bush family--a pathetic, last-ditch, grasping-at-straws attempt to keep an unworthy shitbag in power. It didn't work then and it won't work now.

 |
is because of HIM! I used to pretty much ignore politics.I had a lot of other things more important to worry about. My son was in the Navy in 1991 and stationed in Whidby Island Wa. I will never forget one night at work, as I was working late, and the only one still in the building, I heard on the radio "A squadrom of F18's just left Riyadh heading Noorth...destination unknown!" I laid my pencil down, and shook for at least 10 minutes. They said destination unknown, but I knew! I couldn't concentrate anymore, so I went home. I turned on the TV, and there was a picture of GH, ON THE DAMN GOLF COURSE, saying that yes, he had sent the troops to war. I said it them, and I'll say it forever...This SOB had the balls to send men to die, and he couldn't even give up his games long enough to announcement from the WH!!!
I detest him for his blatent arrogance, and when the Pubs pushed his arrogant shrub into the nomination in 2000, that hatred transferred to him. I assumed shrub was going to be as bad as his father. I was WRONG! HE'S WORSE!!!!!!!!!

You know, poppy, that time when you gave them some quickie evacuation order and then bailed when your plane was in trouble? Yeah, that one. Where you radioed back to the back and then jumped. You've already acknowledged that it was noisy and confusing and scary and you weren't sure they heard you. But you got your sorry, chicken-ass out of there just fine. You made sure you took care of Number One. Didn't even bother to check that they'd heard you. Didn't confirm that they'd received your warning. What the hell kind of captain-of-the-ship is that? Isn't the commander supposed to take care of his/her underlings? You just took care of you, asshole.
You'll go to your grave with that one on your soul. And you'll go farther down than just six feet under.

That's all most of us are to the bushes. They have a cut-n-dried world view. It's them and their friends and cronies and benefactors in one group, and everyone else - "the help" - in the other. But for somebody who turns his nose up at those not as wealthy or powerful or influential, he and his family have the biggest sense of entitlement since Reagan's famous and fabled "welfare queens." The bush family feels it's entitled to the White House. Because it's the real American royalty. At least in its own bathroom mirrors.
He was a disgrace then. He's still a disgrace now. And I too am proud to say I never voted for him, either.
I CANNOT WAIT to say GOODBYE to that whole bunch. I hope this election ruins the bush name for many generations. May their fields forever be sown with salt.

"There was one woman," he said to more laughter. "A really ugly woman. She had a sign up that said, 'Stay out of my womb,' " as Bush put up his hands as if to deny he would ever go near her.
Is he implying that he would go near her if she was pretty? No, not a good married Christian man such as himself wouldn't do that.
