Abramoff ex-partner pleads guilty to fraud charge - this is good
Edited on Thu Dec-15-05 08:16 PM by stop the bleeding
I just found this in GD-Politics

It's quite good :popcorn::popcorn::popcorn::popcorn:

Kidan, 41, entered the guilty plea in a Miami federal court to one count of conspiracy and one of wire fraud, each of which carries a possible sentence of five years in prison. U.S. District Judge Paul Huck accepted the plea and set sentencing for March 1.

Outside the courthouse after the hearing, Kidan's lawyer, Joseph Conway, said his client conspired with Abramoff in the fraud and was willing to testify in Abramoff's trial next month.

Before he hit his mid-thirties, Michael Scanlon played enough roles to fill a lifetime: lifeguard, press aide to a powerful congressman, multimillionaire public relations entrepreneur.

Now the sandy-haired, buttoned-down Republican -- author of e-mails detailing wildly brash schemes to make money in politics -- is likely to take a turn as a star witness for the prosecution in the Justice Department's investigation of lawmakers, lobbyists, Capitol Hill staffers and executive branch officials.

15. Dream On
How many stunners does it take to wake the "sleeping giant?"

We already have had about a million. People just don't care.

If Katrina didn't get people off their feet then nothing political will.

21. Sorry to hear about the job thing - there has been ALOT of that
going around in the "Good" Economy.

Hummm Production is an all time high - while workers wages are low compared to the increase in inflation for the past 5 years.

If you don't mind me asking - what profession were you working in?

Calling the repukes may seem like a futile gesture, but think of the fact that they have to hear the words. Emails are good too. They have to delete your message. Sometimes I fax stuff just so they have to read the words. Truth is like a silver bullet in the heart of a vampire.

22. As Long As Some Part of the Justice Department Still Works,
we all have a chance of keeping the pressure on, opening and draining the pus, and getting all the evil bastards in a general cleansing of the nation.

Consider how many big, influential ass-kissed names are going down! THis is going to make the French Revolution look like a company picnic.

7. Kidan is a Consigliere for Sicilian Mafia - it gets murkier...
Rosario Spadaro in St. Maarten is a capo in the Sicilian Santapoala crime family - who happens to have Adam Kidan as a Consigliere/business partner at Maho Beach resort in the Dutch Caribbean.

Spadaro is an underboss for Salvatore Siracusano, now in prison, who is said to have business relations with Youssef Nada, identified as financier of Osama bin Laden by the US Central Intelligence Agency (CIA).

http://thedailyherald.com/news/daily/i01/spada01.html

If Kidan was Sparado's legal man and part owner of Maho Resort - he's more than neck deep.

The Santapoala family is particularly infamous. Benedetto "Nitto" Santapoala, head of the family, was sentenced to life in prison in September for his role in the killing of Giovanni Falcone, Italy's top anti-Mafia prosecutor. Falcone, his wife and three bodyguards were killed in 1992 by a remotely controlled car bomb. The murders spurred a crackdown on the Mafia.

According to the report, Spadaro, who is from Santa de Riva, Messina, is seen as the Caribbean partner in a ring to illicitly finance real-estate speculations with “Cosa Nostra” Mafia money, reinvesting the profits abroad to buy casinos and finance other criminal transactions in casinos.

Hundreds of millions of dollars were allegedly sent all over the world in this way to built airports and harbours, invest in real estate and arms sales to the Middle East, Afghanistan, Latin America and North Africa as well. The centre of operations was Messina, where judges and police turned a blind eye.

The breakthrough reportedly came from phone and personal conversations recorded at the Prosecutor’s Office in Messina. The head of the operation is said to be businessman Salvatore Siracusano, now in prison, who is said to have business relations with Youssef Nada, identified as financier of Osama bin Laden by the US Central Intelligence Agency (CIA)

Youssef Nada was designated by the UN’s Al Qaeda and Taliban Sanctions Committee for having provided funding to Al Qaeda and associated entities. There is a long line of UN resolutions which require all countries to “Freeze without delay the funds and other financial assets or economic resources of these individuals…and to ensure that neither these nor any other funds, financial asets or economic resources are made available directly or indirectly, for such person’s benefit, by their nationals or by any persons within their territory.”

Bush, Rather ironically considering the now-evident ties between the Republican money machine, Mafia and El Queda bankers, in a November 7, 2001, speech, singled out Nada's companies for funding al Qaeda.

Before landing in jail in Italy Rosario was slated to break open Cuba for the Mob. Spadaro ran casinos in Lagos before hitting the Caribbean in the late 1970's. The guy weights about four hundred pounds... not a healthy bloke.

GQ names St. Martin, in the Dutch Antilles, as a key organized-crime staging area for Cuba, and Rosario Spadaro, an Italian businessman with two hotels and two casinos there, as a financier with Mafia ties who is likely to be a key figure in future organized-crime ventures in Cuba.

"Spadaro is an underboss for Salvatore Siracusano, now in prison, who is said to have business relations with Youssef Nada, identified as financier of Osama bin Laden by the US Central Intelligence Agency (CIA)."

Holy friggin' irony, batman. Abramoff has ties with the carlyles, too?

The entire GOP is funding the terrorists?

Can this get any better? Oh, yeah- If we had one reporter with a backbone to report it.

...either Kidan or Abramhoff or both set up the Boulis hit...Qui Bono???As far as prosecutors are concerned, murder, especially contract murder, trumps financial shenanigans. So if both are involved in the hit-first in gets the deal.If Kidan alone did Boulis than his escape from the death penalty will be to bury Abramhoff so deeply that Jack's only escape from life in prison is to fully implicate much of official Washington. And if Jack is late off the line and solely responsible for the hit HIS singing to save his ass will make Joe Valachi look like a San Francisco mime....There is a God and today His Great Celestial Spatula hit the jackpot...
