Protests greet Bush in Philippines
MANILA (Reuters) - U.S. President George W. Bush has swept into the Philippines for an eight-hour visit to talk security and trade, celebrating a century of close ties against a backdrop of protests and potential terror attacks.

Bush, on a six-nation Asian tour built round a regional summit in Thailand, is expected to reiterate pledges of more military aid for Manila and investment in the south to help seal a peace deal with the nation's largest Muslim rebel group.

Warm praise is assured for President Gloria Macapagal Arroyo's efforts in fighting homegrown and foreign Islamic militants in this overwhelmingly Roman Catholic country.

1. I Also Read
Where he is promising to upgrade their military forces.

How can we afford to do that and pay him off?

3. Bush is preparing the world
for his constant war policy. Note how many nations are now re-arming thanks to big loans and grants from the USA. Shrub's economic plan is based on the military-industrial complex. Notice how all the loot he has stolen from the Treasury is going to this group, well, except for a bit to his cronies via tax cuts. The 150 billion and up that Iraq is costing is all going to just a handful of the M-I. This is the future folks. Make love, not war, is so 60s. Those days are gone. Even the EU is talking of building their own military. Everywhere you look, the talk is of weapons of one kind or another.

4. Protests weren't even mentioned on CNN this morning
From the article in the Mirror:

"Thousands of demonstrators marched with banners denouncing the U.S. leader as a bomb-cuddling warmonger and enemy of poor farmers. One effigy portrayed Bush as the grim reaper holding Arroyo like an infant with a U.S. flag round her neck."

I wonder if he even saw them?

5. How long before THIS happens HERE?
"The normally clogged arteries of the capital of 12 million were cleared for Bush's motorcade. Filipinos waving the flags of the two nations lined the route, but unsightly squatter shacks had been flattened or hidden by hastily erected billboards."

He really IS The Most Hated Man On Earth. Thanks, bu$hie, for dragging the rest of us down with you!
