17. More questions from another blogger

The only source of this information is coming from the Libyan government.
NOTHING the Libyan government has said/done so far has given us cause to believe them.
In fact, in this event, they have been unable to do two things:
1. Produce the bodies, of either Saif Al-Arab or the supposed grandchildren who died
2. Give the names or ages of the children who supposedly died.
NO death is cause for celebration (except Gaddafi’s— on that one I won’t budge).
IN ANY CASE the death of a child is horrific and inexcusable. NATO certainly needs to exercise more constraint and caution in these attacks.
Thousands of children have died in this conflict, the majority of them at the hands of Gaddafi.
THAT SAID: if Gaddafi were to fake a death of son - it would be Saif Al-Arab’s.
Saif Al-Arab is an enigma. When Al Jazeera displayed a photo of him, it was actually of Khamis Gaddafi. There is one *confirmed* photo of Saif Al-Arab, at a disco in Germany. Very few people even know he exists.
AND there were rumors that Saif Al-Arab had turned against his father way back in the beginning of this revolution. Unconfirmed rumors with very little clout to them— but there’s never smoke without fire, is there? Many of Gaddafi’s sons have turned against at one time or another; usually they return.
Gaddafi has used tactics like this before — fake a death, distract the world with speculation while simultaneously committing a massacre while our back is turned. Anyone remember Khamis Gaddafi’s “death”? And then the subsequent shelling of Misrata? Nothing is coincidence.
