FDR did a lot of good, but he did not do it purely out of the goodness of his heart, he had to be pushed. That is the only way most (I say most because I doubt Kucinch or Sanders would need much pushing) politicians will fight for the working class. That is what people don't seem to understand when they attack the left like they do, the Left is the reason we have the social programs we do.
