| 112. a politician will aim for the votes that seem reliable by default, why listen to a group who say |
|
they won't vote for you, all that does is make ya lose yer position. Reliability is good in the sense that people are more likely to listen to you if they know you will have their backs.
And i'm not so much in support of the status quo as i am in thinking that most liberals, progressives and others on the left needs to work about 10 times harder on getting 'proper' left leaning people to the senate and house(blue dogs and their equivalents are not part of the 'proper' left in my eyes ). After all, if you get a fairly progressive congress then it doesn't matter if the president is a democrat or a republican since since the bills sent to him will be on left side of the spectrum.
