33. Bike trips are short and not influenced much by price
If I drive to work instead of biking it costs me an extra quarter.

We could save millions of gallons of gas if people used bikes instead of cars for short trips, but that change will have to be motivated by something other than money.

The reason that fuel consumption goes down when the price goes up is that people lose their jobs and don't go to work, and they don't go out as often for leisure.

That's why I don't celebrate when the price of gas goes up.

Besides, it makes it to expensive to go to the Outer Banks, which is one of my favorite places on earth.
