I've been thinking about something for awhile. Let's face facts TN is about as red as you can get especially given the recent election results and I was thinking perhaps TN DUers could get together and try and change that. Maybe find someone who actually represents us to run for office. Its not much but I'm getting involved in Madeline Rogero's mayoral campaign. She spoke at the college Dem meeting tonight and she actually seemed like a decent candidate. She wants Knoxville to become a fully green city, she is trying to improve conditions for the homeless, and she supports Union rights to organized. In face she even helped work with Caesar Chavez in the 70s and her husband was a big Union organizer in the textile industry.
