J.K. Rowling did more to pull kids away from video games and back to reading than any other author in recent history. Stephanie Meyer is capturing that same "magic" with a slightly older group of kids, perhaps many of the same ones who read Rowling just a few years prior. I will not criticize an author who uses correct spelling, punctuation, and sentence structure, and manages to attract young readers, nor will I condemn a college for including that author's works in the curriculum.
