btw, I've never read Twilight and assume it's pretty awful from what I've heard but it doesn't seem silly at all for it to be included in a lit course concerning the history of horror writing as this one apparently does. Horror can always only be understood in relation to social context, so the fact that this particular series has enjoyed success within its particular social context seems to me deeply interesting to anyone studying that sort of writing.
