confident of identifying false equivalencies that are, in fact, false equivalencies. I was hypothesizing a general perspective, or something that might be regarded as an average in that kind of effort.

It could be taken as quite revelatory that you took my position as an affirmation of all equivalencies. I regret your/my error in that affirmation.
