8. forgot to mention: Ayers, who is independently wealthy, and his wife
raised the kids of the Weathermen who died in the Greenwich Village townhouse that exploded.

Supposedly, they exploded it accidentally, while they were making bombs.

I know a couple who lived in Greenwhich when they were newlyweds. He was an intern in a Village hospital. They had parked a car near that block. The car was registered to his parents in Jersey. Within a day or two of the explosion, the feds showed up at the parents home, wanting to know why their car had been parked there.

Fast forward many decades:

A man born in Egypt, now a US citizen, works in my building. The day after 911, the feds showed up, asking the building manager why the Egyptian had not reported to work on 911. (Coincidentally, he had been called for jury duty and, on 911, had reported for same, so his alibi was bulletproof, literally and figuratively.

I learned this when I suggested he might help translate Arabic phone calls because I had heard that, as of 911, the govt was at least two years behing in translating them. He just kept saying, "How they know? How they know?"

Good question. How did they know that an Egyptian somewhere in Boston had not shown up for a relatively obscure job in a relatively obscure building the day before?
