"war" funding?

What war would that be? Supposedly, we are out of Iraq for all intents and purposes and we are winding down in Afghanistan, where our corrupt puppet has been in charge for years anyway, due to consistently stellar results in free elections. So, against which nation(s) are we waging war?

Did our military costs go down a big bunch between Vietnam and Desert Storm anyway?

Troops?

Is that a separate category from "war" funding?

And isn't it possible to cut so called defense spending without hurting the troops?

The sequester was Obama's idea. I very much suspect he came up with it because the Cat Food Commission did not work as far as cuts plus political cover and the Grand Bargain Commission (a) might have been unconstitutional and (b) dragged out until dangerously near Presidential campaign season.

Doesn't seem to have been well planned though.
