Yes, I had a crush on him. My teacher had told me that she wanted me to read something besides novels. I read a few bios. Honest Abe and Babe Ruth made a big impression on me, although I did not crush on the Babe.

It's funny that those two impressed me so much because, after I moved to Massachusetts, I became friends with a distant relative of Paul Revere's and Lincoln's. (Two of Revere's 8 daughters married Lincoln men.) And, I learned about the curse of the Babe on the Red Sox, which I don't remember reading in the bio. In 2004, breaking the curse was a regional obsession.
