so, LBJ had a financial interest in pursuing the expansion of activities in Viet Nam.

The Grand Protector Cardinal Spellman made a big issue of letting Viet Nam fall, since the majority of the Elites in the Country were Catholic. He encouraged the Boys to press the issue.

The Lodge Brothers Had a Rubber Plantation there and were complaining of having to pay protection money to the VC, so they were in the mix as well.

JFK had a lot of people pissed-off.
