1. Funny.
I am hearing from the Rachel Maddow program that Republicans nationally poll even slightly higher than Democrats on leaving the medicare enrollment age alone.

Republican legislators, however, continue to use language that implies this fiscal cliff issue is about future spending, when, in fact, it is about past spending. They say things like raising the debt ceiling would be like giving President Obama a blank check for wild unrestrained spending. This simply is not true. But Republican voters universally wallow in this fundamental misunderstanding.

Little wonder, this misunderstanding is rabidly fostered by Fox "News", Limbaugh and the others. WTF? Of course these same Republican voters believe Obama is engaged in an orgy of wild spending.

Why don't Administration spokespersons refute this wild spending meme? This is a mystery to me. Does this meme serve them in some mysterious way?

Why don't we just tell the truth for a change.
