to the fact that he was trying to be bi-partisan. Too bad that it just happened to be at the time when he had the majority and would have been able to do what he really wanted to do, but how was he to know that it was going to come to an end so soon - sooner than what Republicans are now trying to imply - that he had 2 years of majority? That's BS, he only had it for about 9 months. By the time he realized that Republicans were not going to budge, it was too late, he had lost his majority and the bastards were determined to oppose him on everything. His stimulus plan would have helped more if he had been able to pull it off with the amount he first wanted, but unfortunately, in order to get some Republicans on board he had to cut it way back. Even so, the Stimulus did help, but Republicans are insistent that it did nothing but increase the debt.
Yes, the economy may still not be where we would like it to be, but let's quit blaming Obama when he has to fight not only the obstruction in the House of Representatives, but also the attacks that are being made by Issa and some of the others to draw Holder away from the real issue, their scheme to disenfranchise liberals in Florida.
If Romney gets in, you can kiss goodbye to another Democrat ever being president. We've already seen what the Koch brother's money was able to do in Wisconsin, they will do the same for the country. The Supreme Court will become all Republican and if they are able to keep the House and get the Senate, it's all over for Democrats. Anything that they are not able to get past the House and Senate (if they don't happen to be Republican majority) will be forwarded to the Supreme Court, where you know what happens by just remembering 2000.
If Democrats don't get their act together and support Obama (regardless of things that he has done that not all Democrats approved of) instead of dissing him and complaining about some of the things he didn't do because the Republicans in Congress obstructed him, we will have to get used to some of the Tea Party's most archaic beliefs whether we like it or not.
I think Obama will have no problem smacking Romney down in the debates, so far Romney can only promise that he is going to make things better but has never really laid out his plan as to how. The problem will be if the economy still sucks and they are able to purge voters from the rolls as well as continue to lie to the public (Romney's campaign wants Florida's Gov Scott to downplay job gains so the situation continues to look bad) as they have been doing, many people won't care what happens at the debates, they will want the one that promises to make the economy better even if they don't realize that he means for the wealthy.
