I've been busy, and will be for the immediate future. Lotsa work work work. Anyhow, yes, I miss none of that crappy stuff you stated. I also don't miss the mocking a few dozen would do in saying, "you're just mad you didn't get your pony", when anyone who would even remotely show a hint of questioning regarding WH policy.

And, regarding "greater activity", I agree. I miss it, too. Having my threads sometimes get read 10000 times and appearing on the home page, being a mod, and such were great, but I wouldn't trade it for this place! I prefer this minimalist DU over the that one with its juries. I am at great odds with the idea of the very people that were the most quarrelsome having any say over who's posts stay or go.

So, the tiny DU2 is a-ok with me, where we can see pretty much everything that is posted, and feel like we're all sitting down sharing a warm plate of chocolate chip cookies, and can see each other. That was one of the great things about being a mod. I got to know several of them and their humor very well, and even got a chance to have a couple of sensitive talks with the DU boss himself, and I will remember those modding days with a smile. But, I'll take this, over the "pony" alternative on the newer version, anyday...
