Might've been a former RWer like Michael Lind (the guy who first propounded the idea that we had two overclass parties and no populist party -- Thomas Frank took up the same theme 6 years later.) He was the first person to blog about Lee Atwater's use of the Overton Window to influence the modern political media circus, and how Atwater would simultaneously brag and shake his head about how Dems had failed to respond appropriately or even catch on.
