3. Yesterday Miz O's car died at the library. Some nice young people
got it started for her, went with her to the local auto parts store where they tested the alternator, and said that the battery was low.

When she got home, we took it to our local WalMart, where we had bought the battery 18 months ago. The attendant put his tester on it, out came a print-out that said the battery had failed to meet required standards. The guy's very next words were "This battery is probably still under warranty."

About a half hour later we left, with the WM crew having put in a new battery. No money exchanged hands, they were all cheerful.

I just typed this on a laptop probably made by exploited labor, and it will be read on screens probably made by exploited labor, and the thread will be filled with responses about how WalMart exploits labor.

Imagine that!
