55. I think you're underestimating the wisdom of the crowd.
The jury is held accountable for the tit for tat standards that they'll create.

Indeed, there's a 66% chance that a random poll with random answers will result in nothing being done, while there's a 33% chance that a post will be hidden. So if you vote the wrong way on a poll, if your intent is to hide a post maliciously, there's only a 33% chance that you'll succeed if every other vote was random. Meanwhile the votes are in fact not random, so actually forcing a vote requires mindshare. There won't be an opportunity to collude because it's so rapid there's no time to contact a list of colluders, and you won't be allowed to sit on a jury of a post that you have responded to.

If the jury process is able to be gamed by a small mind share of very vitriolic posters, all one needs to do is expand the jury pool. No matter how it works out, the jury pool does not reflect the majority opinion, and in fact, has a much higher bar to 'hide' a post.
