a teacher's supply store. There is at least one in every community and you don't need to be a teacher to shop there. They have all sorts of workbooks, hands-on materials and services and usually the cost is very reasonable. Ask a teacher where they go.
I agree with you about learning cursive but much of the reason lies in the really difficult time many teachers have in reading the papers and tests of kids today. My own 4 grandchildren have not been taught cursive but they really don't write clearer. Writing activates a part of the brain that is different from typing and needs to be trained. I also fault ball-point pens. Years ago cursive writing was taught with ink pens (Schaeffer usually) and they demand a kind of control that ball-points do not.
