It's that your group picked up support from people out clubbing. They dropped their recreation to join the movement that night. You should be immensely proud of attracting that instant committment, especially in light of the unmitigated bullshit being spread about your group and OWS in general.
As I said before the LAPD headquarters when I spoke to my fellows at OLA for the first time this past Saturday...
OCCUPY WILL NOT DIE! WE WILL SIMPLY MULTIPLY!
