because you're proving yourself incapable. Your claim was that knowledge of where a character was from helped children find that place on the globe. This is wrong, and you still seem unable to understand that. You claimed a child would be a 'new globe expert' using the knowledge that Dorothy came from Kansas. But that's irrelevant to finding the USA on a globe, or Kansas in the USA.

In the 'Santa' scenario, the teacher had started talking about the North Pole; the child said "ooh, that's where Santa lives" (that being what their myth says; other myths place him elsewhere, such as Lapland, of course, which has the advantage of having reindeer and food for them to eat, but the dominant North American myth just has even more holes in it than others), and thus started to sidetrack the lesson. Santa was a distraction; unfortunately, the teacher upset the more gullible children with her chosen way of cutting off the Santa discussion.
