This year I had to provide a copy of my daughter's birth certificate and a copy of my 1040 tax return showing my daughter as a dependent. Had I been married and my spouse was covered I would have had to provide a copy of my marriage certificate. This is identity theft material that was not secure. My guess is that I will have to provide by 1040 tax return every year. These kinds of abuse are some of the reasons we need a single payer system that covers everybody while also getting rid of the big brother aspects of what we have today.
