It's money spent by us. It may as well be paid to the government instead of the insurance companies and for-profit hospitals & doctors.
I don't mind doctors and hospitals and drug companies making a profit. But what they are making are OBSCENE profits...most especially the health insurance companies who are providing NO BENEFIT to anybody's actual health. And edited to include that some medicare providers are stealing billions from the system every year.
