I don't get paid. I am one missing day from not making my rent most months. So if I had to miss a day of work because of protests, I'd be very pissed off. I'd be more likely to work against the protests than support their cause. I do generally support what OWS is fighting for. I even plan to be at the Occupy Austin rally this weekend when I'm off work. I know we're supposed to stand in solidarity with the strikers and everything... but I gotta live. Gotta pay bills. If it looks like the strike is gonna happen, I'll switch to work at home so I don't have to worry about the roads.
