126. Good, but...
It's good that you stood up to the trickle-down BSer, but unfortunately the analogy is poor.

No poor person ever did those things because no poor person ever could do those things.

When someone says that "No poor person ever gave me a job", the correct response is that no rich person will make a job just because they have more money. There has to be demand. If there is no demand, they will just pocket the extra cash.

Right now there is a demand problem in this country, and that is a problem because our country's economy is 70% consumer spending. Without consumer spending, the economy will continue to be in the crapper, and no one will hire.

Why is there no consumer spending? Simple: They have no money to spend.

Where is the money? At the top of the pile in the hands of a few people.

Just like a car won't go with an empty gas tank, rich people won't hire when there is no demand.
