30. All civilizations end. Some by falling, others by becoming a different one.
Rome, for example, was really two empires. There was the apex of Republican Rome, then there was Post-Constantine Rome. Hell, you could throw in the Byzantine Empire for a third.

America, as we know it at least, is dying. The system just isn't working, and the 1% needs us, but we don't need them.

It's happened before and it will happen again.
