Perhaps the Democratic Party should organize not only to win another term for President Obama, but also to raise funds for the Innocence Project.

The questions we need to ask are:
"If not us, who? If not now, when?"

The future is unknown. Many dream of making a million dollars per year in the future, and keeping it all. Others live with the nightmare of being guilty of no crime and waiting to be executed. While keeping some people safe from crime, the system itself commits crimes.

You could choose a life of poverty and pay less in taxes to support the system, but that's not necessary. It's enough to help make the system less criminal.

The difficult work of establishing the Innocence Project has been done. It is operating now. Why not support it? The life you save could be your own.
