18. This is a very smart move.
Changes to the USPS will kill the DVD by mail business probably a lot sooner than we think. Some people are very happy with only one of these services. They are still one of the best values if you enjoy movies and old TV shows.

It will be interesting to see how much the games option costs.

Back when I still sucked on the cable teat they would raise their prices every time ESPN told them to. They would drop channels if they felt like it and refuse to carry what I wanted. Netflix has changed their prices and the nature of their business but what they offer is still basically the same. I can still get damn near any DVD or BD in existence and more than enough streaming content that I like. Sure I wish the price did not change but it is still a great value.

I also applaud their telling Starz to stuff it. Starz encodes are shoddy and never in HD. Starz tried to make Netflix into a half-ass cable company and create a tiered approach to pricing. Fuck Starz. Once I get through all of the Have Gun, Will Travel episodes I won't even miss them.

I use Netflix, Hulu+, and the occasional Amazon on demand. If something actually better than Netflix comes along I may consider it but such a thing, as of this moment, does not exist.
