Watching the CBS Evening News Tonight,
Advertisements [?]
I noticed something that I'm going to be tracking on other MSM news outlets. They did not cover Michele Bachman at all during the newscast. Only Obama and Perry got any coverage for their activities today. And that despite Bachmann's idiotic Happy Birthday wishes for Elvis Presley on the anniversary of his death. It's too early to make any general statements, but...

It appears to me that CBS has decided that Bachmann is not a serious contender and is not covering her activities with the same priority as those of Obama and Perry. I believe they've made a decision. I'll watch the other alphabet network news programs and see if this is more widespread.

As a note: For those who think the big three networks are irrelevant in today's cable news era, think again. For pure newscasts, ABC, NBC, and CBS have so many more viewers than all the cable news programs combined that it is a joke. That's why you never see comparative numbers for evening news that puts the cable and broadcast on the same page. People are still tuning in at 5:30 or 6 to the network news. For many, that's it. They see the local news for the weather and local stories, watch the network news half hour, and then return to their reality shows or whatever it is that people watch on television.
