Teabaggers. They did make the leadership look impotent, and I can't imagine that made many of them happy. Not to mention how the world views them and their party now. So, it is possible that the Party, which encouraged them when they wanted to gain a majority, may realize what they have done in order to win.
However, he sounds like he doesn't care, either that or he knows others are about to back him. I hope it's the latter.
