44. When legislation depended upon the vote of Ben Nelson.
Democrats from January 2009 thru 2010 there were no victories. President Obama needs a super majority in the House and Senate like FDR had. Then people like Ben Nelson and blue dogs that vote with republicans at crunch time can be told to fuck off, we don't need their votes to enact progressive legislation. Now, my question to you and people that think like you is, will you sit at home this time around, or will you help democrats get those super majorities that FDR had?
