Can you explain why Obama did not get the deficit cap raised in December while he still had a majority in Congress?

Can you explain why he made such a bad deal on continuing the tax cuts for the rich?

If so, please do. I would like to hear a defense of what Obama has done.

And the current "compromise" is just the crowning glory of this grand scheme.

Obama should have revised the tax code when he did the stimulus.

And if he could not do it at that time, he should have revised the tax code to raise taxes on the rich, especially the hedge fund conmen, when he did his rather weak reform of the financial sector.
