18. It sounds like new software
They will still be scanning (with the consequent radiation) but the video display will be altered so that a generic human being is shown instead of the actual image that the scan is producing. I gather that if an anomalous shape is identified by the pattern recognition software, the person will get a more thorough examination. I imagine that there could be a lot of false positives if artificial intelligence is doing the pattern recognition instead of a human observer.

So, some things could get better, some worse.
