Anti-discrimination Laws (sexual orientation) Canada Bans all anti-gay discrimination, including hate speech ...................................US No federal protections. Banned in 20 states. Included in the federal hate crimes law since 2009

Then when you get to other things, like universal health care and legislated paid parental leave Canada yes ... US no (only unpaid parental leave)
