Palin and bush jr are genuine dimwits. Reagan was dangerously wrong on a number of things (and one of our worst presidents, by my lights), but I just don't think he was "butt stupid" in the low-IQ way that Palin and bush are. You will recall that Reagan served two (full) terms as governor of the most populous state in the nation, compared with Palin's half-term as governor of a deserted area and bush's governorship in a state set up so that the governor is the 4th most powerful politician and the legislature only meets every 18 months.
