12. Uh. . that doesn't have anything to do with my question.
Did the money pass through his associates? Where was the money accounted for?

-A Q? I've not seen asked yet - where was the Bunny money accounted? Gifts are taxable. Maru Kitteh  Jun-03-11 11:24 PM   #0
  - Um, huh? Some context, please? Are we talking about Hugh Hefner??  kestrel91316   Jun-03-11 11:29 PM   #1
  - How many ledger lines?  Skink   Jun-03-11 11:29 PM   #2
  - I'll change the language. Apparently it's too archaic or regional.  Maru Kitteh   Jun-03-11 11:34 PM   #5
  - Checks written for "furniture" and passed to Edwards' aide  frazzled   Jun-03-11 11:32 PM   #3
  - This doesn't answer your question exactly but  EFerrari   Jun-03-11 11:34 PM   #4
  - The Bunny money was given to her, not him.  RaleighNCDUer   Jun-04-11 12:12 AM   #6
  - So did it, or did it not pass through JE's associates before it got to her?  Maru Kitteh   Jun-04-11 12:29 AM   #7
     - I don't think they have a case against Edwards.  EFerrari   Jun-04-11 12:45 AM   #8
     - I don't either, but OTOH look what they did with Siegelman. n/t  pnwmom   Jun-04-11 12:48 AM   #11
     - Uh. . that doesn't have anything to do with my question.  Maru Kitteh   Jun-04-11 12:48 AM   #12
     - Actually, I was agreeing with you.  EFerrari   Jun-04-11 10:29 AM   #24
     - Exactly.  Horse with no Name   Jun-04-11 01:07 AM   #15
     - after 'they' ruin him?  ProdigalJunkMail   Jun-04-11 01:09 AM   #16
        - I'm sorry, I can't get overheated about Edward's infidelity  EFerrari   Jun-04-11 10:37 AM   #25
           - I do get worked up over it...  ProdigalJunkMail   Jun-04-11 11:05 AM   #27
           - I imagine there are a lot of people who make other people's lives  EFerrari   Jun-04-11 02:11 PM   #28
              - you would be in deep denial to believe that most of the US  ProdigalJunkMail   Jun-04-11 04:53 PM   #29
                 - No, you don't know what happened.  EFerrari   Jun-05-11 07:34 PM   #32
           - I tell you it is his slandering hypocrisy that should bother you.  Bluenorthwest   Jun-04-11 05:35 PM   #30
              - You are right about the hypocrisy. That's just nauseating.  EFerrari   Jun-04-11 09:34 PM   #31
     - Bunny, the giver, would have to file a gift tax return  pnwmom   Jun-04-11 12:47 AM   #10
  - Neither. A gift return and tax if required is filed by the giver.  pnwmom   Jun-04-11 12:46 AM   #9
  - Well, I think we can bet Bunny and her accountants have given a gift or two and knew the laws.  Maru Kitteh   Jun-04-11 12:55 AM   #13
  - But #4 would only apply if she directly gave to his campaign.  pnwmom   Jun-04-11 01:24 AM   #18
  - Why did JE go lean on a 100 year-old woman 1wk before he was federally indicted?  Maru Kitteh   Jun-04-11 01:55 AM   #21
  - Ok I can't source this because I saw it on the TV  Horse with no Name   Jun-04-11 01:05 AM   #14
  - Were that true, it would be on RH's tax return, and more importantly EDWARDS does not claim as much.  Maru Kitteh   Jun-04-11 01:19 AM   #17
  - No, it wouldn't be on Hunter's tax return. It would only be on Bunny's  pnwmom   Jun-04-11 01:28 AM   #20
     - His defense is that he could have never expected this to be a contribution rather than a gift.  Maru Kitteh   Jun-04-11 02:15 AM   #22
        - I haven't seen him say that he took the money at all.  pnwmom   Jun-04-11 09:25 AM   #23
  - If that TV report is correct, and also the reports about the depositions,  pnwmom   Jun-04-11 01:25 AM   #19
  - Bunny was 98 then. Just saying......  OmmmSweetOmmm   Jun-04-11 10:46 AM   #26
