their votes on. They still read the big newspaper or watch the big news channels for their news. These people are being lied to on a daily basis now since the media has become corporate. I used to work at home and played CNN a good chunk of the day and I had no idea how slanted toward republicans their news was for the longest time. I never voted Republican, but I believed their polls saying the Dems were losing (which made me feel lethargic politically-less interested). It took me a long time to see that the conservative guests were very often louder and outnumbered the liberal guests. You have to watch a lot of news to realize that they always have a dorky looking guy to back up the left wing and a well spoken, famous righty talking.
So, yeah, Florida got what they voted for, but the media did not tell the people who Rick Scott really was. When the right wing is buying up your ad space you don't make waves. When Rupert Murdoch's papers are hacking your emails and phone messages (as it was found out they were doing in London--hacking the phones of the competing newspapers to steak their information and stories) you don't look very deep into the right wing candidate.
The people in Florida are victims of right-wing media. They don't know you can't trust the media anymore. They are victims in all of this in many ways. Jeb Bush dumbed down their schools and we are seeing the results of a combined effort to turn the voters into ignorant people who do what the TV tells them to do.
