37. Living in SC, I have to agree.
The atavistic electorate of South Carolina consistently votes against its own best interests. The typical South Carolina voter is low-hanging fruit for the cynical, right-wing politician, who has only to invoke Jesus and throw around some veiled racial and homophobic innuendos to lock in the vote. It is pitiful.
