Not all 60 of those were progressive either. Hell, one of them even campaigned AGAINST President Obama in 2008! Once we lost Kennedy and Coakly didn't win the seat, our caucus was no longer filibuster-proof and we needed all 59 members on board +1 Republican to get anything else through.
