Then run up the bill to put him into debt. If he has a wife, they will take half of her estate also. After he is in debt several tens of thousands of dollars, they will allow Medicare to kick in.
The debt? The home will remind you of the money he owes. (They need it to pay the staff tasking care of him, or so I was told.)Luckily they can not go after the kids, or they would. It is a scam from the start.
It doesn't matter if your dad had a Irrevocable Trust. They will go through it with a fine tooth comb and find something, no matter how small, to break it.
The professionals scammers against a innocent family trying to do right and who most likely has never had to deal with anything like this before. It is not a level playing field.
