would automatically imply more democratic voters is wishful thinking in my opinion.

As many hispanics in Florida as IS, the state is an undisputed republican bastion. Sorry, I have to break it to all here but the state is not purple as the media want you to believe.

Many of South Florida hispanic representatives are in the majority Republican. Most Cubans, Colombians and Panamanians I know are Republican leaning and even apolitical types find pride in calling themselves conservatives. Puertorricans? Mostly democrat due to the bad reputation the word "Republican" has in the Island, BUT are usually conservative leaning too. "Republican" in PR is equated to "corruption', "racism", "imperialism" and "CIA operatives". Some PR politicians go to great lenghts not to be seen as Republican.

The most pro-Laissez Fair/union busting freak/police-state-loving SOB, the Puerto Rican Governor Luis Fortuño, a registered "Republican" was endorced by equally ruthless ex-Governor, Pedro Rosello (a registered democrat). He is currently implementing policies that make Paul Ryan and Scott Walker look amateurish.
