1. We tried Air America, but the problem with left wing radio hosts ...........
is that left wing supporters are not nearly as crazy as the right. Randi Rhodes tries to be the Limbaugh of the left, and that is the very reason that I hate her. Rachel and Franken were the voices of reason, but they had to share their designated frequency with the like of Rhodes.

As far as TV is concerned, MSNBC has done it half-assed. Sure, the evening is lined up with left wing hosts, but let's look at the rest of the day. You start out with Joe and Mika. Mika is a middle-of-the-roader who allows Joe and the gang to walk all over her.

That is followed by The Daily Rundown with Todd and Guthrie, both right of center.

In turn, they are followed by Andrea Mitchell. Not exactly a beacon of left wing liberalism.

Then you have Dylan Ratigan who is given credit for the "tea party rant".

Ed is next up, and to be honest, I've never been that big of an Ed fan. I agree with him about 70% of the time, but his stance on certain issues (guns is the first that comes to mind) are a bit too far to the right for my taste.

Then you get Tweety. Tweety is the guy who wrote for Carter, but has openly admitted that he voted against his own boss in the 1980 election.

After that, you finally get to what left wing television and radio should be. Keith and Rachel are the best voices that the left currently has on the air.

Where Fox is really smart is in the overnight time-slots. Red-Eye is a brilliant move on Fox's part. Obviously it's not for what the show stands for, but for the simple fact that they attempt to pull in the next generation of viewers.
