and while he's promised to defend us (against his own commission!) from privatization, he refuses to state that he'll defend it from cuts.

Both commission co-Chairman have tried to cut Social Security in the past, and have stated that they're in favor of doing it again.

This ain't reading tea leaves. It's an obvious attack.
