The people who say that Obama equals Bush are dead wrong on that. So Gibbs was right. But so what? He should not have said it because the statement was widely misinterpreted to mean an attack on the left, which it was not, only that specific part of the left that say that Obama is no different from Bush.

Honestly the Republicans LOVE stuff like this, and I feel that there are operatives here making a huge deal out of this because, ahem, they have an agenda.

Also they are unrecommending this thread.

Having said that, I would prefer that Obama would have a more progressive slant.
