104. Considering that using the fact that the banks were coming to the government for a big fucking
hand out to to bail them out, that would have been the perfect time to slap some regulation onto them. But they didn't and now, there's no way in hell the banks are going to allow the government to do a proper job of regulating them as evidenced by the amount of money being spent lobbying to weaken this not all that strong bill to begin with.

One doesn't need to go to Harvard to know that when an industry is in trouble and is asking for money that one does not had over that money without putting down some mighty big strings. (Stringent regulation being one of those strings) Something that did NOT happen at the time.

Did this not occur to you?
