147. Factionism kills revolutions.
I've written this before on this and other forums, and it always bears repeating: you can't build any lasting kind of political or social change based on talking points and tactics, you have to get your principles straight first. The people who marginalized Cindy for her well-founded criticisms of the Democratic Party operate on the tactic of "our group, no matter what." That's not a principle, that's a defensive tactic, because it is no different from the conservatives when they operate that way, no matter how the "us" people rationalize it.

The only way the progressive revolution is going to survive is if we get our principles straight first, then assess ourselves and everyone else based on them. Principles, not talking points. If you are more willing to defend the group rather than the truth, it doesn't matter how well you operate, you are already compromised to the enemy.

Good luck to you, Cindy, and thank you for your efforts. And take care of yourself, because the haters aren't going to stop hounding you when you've fallen off the media radar.
